We’re really pleased to share that The Spyglass Inn has been nominated for Best Pub and Best Fish & Chips at the 2026 Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards.
We sit at the western end of Ventnor Esplanade, right on the water, with views across the Channel that are hard to beat. The building dates from around 1830 and the walls are full of maritime history and character. Crab and lobster come directly from the Ventnor Haven Fishery next door, and the specials board changes with whatever’s good that day.
There’s live music most evenings, a sun-catching terrace, and a genuine welcome for anyone who just wants to sit by the sea. If a trip to the Spyglass has ever put a smile on your face, your vote would mean the world to us.
