He likes to try and play a bit of everything. When the pub is busy he’ll choose more subtle pieces as background noise but when the pub is a little quieter he’ll try and play more well known pieces.
Roger has been playing the piano since he was about 6 years old and has been playing with the Quayside pubs for about 10 years now. What started out as filling in on occasions for the pubs eventually gave him his regular spot.
His absolute favourite time of year to play in the pubs due to the atmosphere is Christmas and when there are Pub Sing-Song nights.
He’s played in orchestra pits, conducting many musicals and been a musical director for many armature theater productions. Not only does he play the piano, but he also plays trumpet and the organ. He loves to play music for Ballroom dancing and local well known tea dances.
